BOTOX® THERAPEUTIC
Hyperhidrosis (Excessive sweating ) effects thousands of Canadians. Normally, the body produces sweat to regulate body temperature. The nerves that control the sweat glands become overactive and excess sweat may be produced. It can have a significant impact on self-confidence and can affect your quality of life. Botox® is intended to block the communication between nerves and sweat glands and may help reduce perspiration of the forehead, hands, feet and underarms.
Relief may be a treatment away!
*Individual results may vary.
HOW IT WORKS
Botox is intended to work by blocking the nerves responsible for activating your sweat glands. Normally, your nervous system activates your sweat glands when your body temperature rises. This is how your body automatically cools itself. In people with hyperhidrosis, the nerves that signal the sweat glands are overactive. Botox® Therapeutic is injected into the problem area. When Botox is placed near the sweat glands it may result in greatly reduced perspiration. Generally the treatment has minimal downtime and upkeep.
