IPL
PHOTOREJUVENATION
IPL photorejuvenation is a skin renewing technology that often allows clients to transform the appearance of red, uneven, and blotchy skin into a radiant complexion. An IPL is about a thirty minute procedure where beams of light penetrate the skin, which may help to reduce the appearance of redness and wrinkles. This procedure involves minimal discomfort, while the swelling and redness that sometimes occur after treatment generally disappear shortly.
WHY IT WORKS
During an IPL treatment, pulses of light are intended to reduce the signs of aging (including facial wrinkles and discolouration). We believe this wavelength of light to be optimal for also clearing vascular and pigmented lesions. We recommend three to five treatment sessions spaced three weeks apart.
We consider IPL photofacials to be the most versatile skin treatment we have available.

FAQ’S ABOUT PHOTOREJUVENATION
What does an IPL photorejuvenation treat?
We use IPL to treat a wide variety of skin problems: the appearance of red spots, diffuse redness, acne and rosacea. IPL treatments may also help to smooth uneven skin texture, close large pores, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Are results ?
Photofacials are a maintenance treatment intended to reduce negative cosmetic effects. However, the aging process continues so further treatments may be necessary to keep your skin in optimal condition.
How many treatments are recommended?
Depending on the area being treated and the severity of the problem, multiple treatment sessions may be recommended.
Is there any down time needed?
Most redness caused by the treatment often clears after a few hours for most clients.
How long do treatments take?
The treatment usually takes between 15-30 minutes. We recommend waiting 3-6 weeks between each treatment session.
How much does the treatment cost?
IPL photorejuvenation costs usually run between $150 and $300 per treatment. However, the exact amount varies depending on the area on which the treatment is performed.
Are there any side effects associated with this treatment?
We find that the most frequently reported side effects of IPL photo rejuvenation are relatively mild. The most common side effect is facial redness. In rarer instances, mild bruising and swelling may occur. The IPL is capable of causing burns and significant pigmentation disorders which is why it is vital that treatments are administered by experienced and trained technicians in a medically supervised environment.
